Half a tale here, but this grade II-listed 1950s Geoffry Powell-designed The Rossdale House in London N3 is still worth flagging up.
That half a tale is down to the house currently being tenanted and as such, photos of the inside of this 1959 build are not available. Which is a great shame. However, the agent does point out that the house has been ‘lovingly restored and updated by the current owners’ in conjunction with English Heritage, so we suspect the inside will not be disappointing.
As for the modernist property itself, that was the work of Geoffry Powell of the Chamberlin, Powell & Bon practice, sitting on a private road and in around a quarter of an acre of its own land.
It’s a raised single-storey house, with a timber frame and a brick core with two garages beneath. There’s also a large sun deck accessed via an external staircase as well as from inside.
In the main house you’ll find a large L-shaped reception room, with an open fireplace and original glazed sliding doors to that sun deck, a separate kitchen, a master bedroom with en-suite, two additional bedrooms and a shower room.
